With our game at Leatherhead falling foul of the wet weather on Tuesday, both sides come
into this fixture having had a week without a game. Our visitors sit one place and three
points above the relegation zone, while we sit in fourth place, now four points behind third
place Ascot United. The Yellas coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Westfield in midweek.
Having finished ninth for three seasons running South Park (Reigate) have struggled this
season, and have spent most of the campaign in the lower reaches of the table. They are
the lowest scorers in the division, finding the net just thirty-two times in thirty-one games.
Former Chipstead boss Rob Kember is the man at the helm, charged with preserving their
Step Four status.
Last time out
After back-to-back victories against Ashford Town (Middlesex) and Hanworth Villa, The
Sparks were beaten 2-0 at home by Southall last Saturday. Our last fixture was a rather
cagey affair at Ascot United. A game of few chances ending goalless.
Previously
We won our first four meetings against The Sparks, three of which were by the narrow
margin of 1-0. The side from Surrey hit back and our next five encounters produced three
defeats and two draws. We got back to winning ways at Whitehall Lane back in November,
George Moore with both goals in a 2-0 victory.
The ones to watch
As previously mentioned, goals have been hard to come by for The Sparks. Bobby Mills
leads the way with four goals, Craig McGee (who has played in all thirty-one league games),
Finlay Johnson, Ryan Healy and Andy Somo all have three. Former Corinthian-Casuals
stalwart Danny Bracken is the man between the sticks. The 34-year-old has missed only one
game this season and his experience will be vital if South Park (Reigate) are to continue to
play their football at Step Four.
